Details
In a world of chaos and never-ending busyness we are all looking for rest.
God addresses this need in His Word and Jesus models it in His actions. In this conference, we will explore the pursuit and gift of biblical rest. Over our time together, Wendy Alsup will take us to the Word in three engaging sessions and additionally, you will choose two rest-focused breakout topics.
Come and join us for an intentional time to unplug and connect in a community of women as we learn together how to establish rhythms of rest in our everyday. Invite a friend to join you on February 20-21, 2026 here at KCC as we come together to find true rest.
"My presence will go with you and I will give you rest." - Exodus 33:14
Breakout Topics:
Rest and Social Media - Many of us have a love hate relationship with social media. Studies also show that social media is playing a major role in our levels of anxiety and discontentment. In this breakout we will look at how to view and use social media in a biblically informed way.
Rest When Work gives No Time to rest - How do we rest when work takes up so much time and energy? When do and how can rest happen when work is so constant and stressful? Whether you are working in or outside the home, this breakout will give some insight into integrating rest into a busy working schedule.
Sabbath Rest - What is the sabbath? Does it really still apply to us today? In this breakout, we will explore the gift of sabbath and how it still offers us rest, peace and perspective today.
Rest in Suffering- How do we rest when we are experiencing tragedy and heartache? Is there real rest during these times? In this breakout, we will explore suffering and how to rest even in the midst of it even when we are wrestling with the hard question of “why?”
Each breakout session has limited seating and your spots will be reserved as part of the registration process.
Lunch will be provided on Saturday with yummy snacks and beverages available throughout the conference. $50 deposit secures your spot with final payment due the end of January.
